A Pesaro, per la 3a volta, la World Cup di Ritmica!

The tournament, which will enjoy its 3rd edition this year, lines up 47
Individual gymnasts from 31 different countries as well as 17 Groups and star
players from the sport’s most prestigious nations! This will be a first
participation for Portugal, Croatia and Brazil in Pesaro.
In Individuals,
fans can look forward to seeing Russians Evgenia Kanaeva, Daria Kondakova and
Daria Dmitrieva, Belarusians Liubou Charkashyna and Aliaksandra Narkevich,
Azerbaijanis Aliya Garayeva and Anna Gurbatova, Bulgaria’s Silviya Miteva,
Kazakhstani Anna Alyabyeva, Ukraine’s Alina Maksymenko and Ulyana Trofimova of
Uzbekistan.
Italy entered Julieta Cantaluppi and Federica Febbo, while
Germany and Israel are placing their hopes on younger blood, sending the 2010
Youth Olympic finalists and first year seniors Jana Berezko – Marggrander
(Bronze) and Victoria Veinberg Filanovsky (6th).
In Groups, the Italian
public will get to witness a dual for excellence between the reigning World
Champions of their own country and their traditional rivals from Russia. The
entries from Belarus, Bulgaria and Israel are sure to spice up the competition
and give a thrilling run for the podium.
Senior Individuals perform on Hoop, Ball, Clubs and Ribbon this year, while
Rhythmic Groups compete on five Balls and three Ribbons / two Hoops.
Parallel to the World Cup event, the 3rd Pesaro International Junior
Tournament “Citta di Pesaro” will be held in the Adriatic Arena.
At the past edition of the Pesaro World Cup in August 2010, Evgenia Kanaeva
(RUS) remained undefeated on all apparatus in Individuals. The Italian Group
kept their promise, winning the Gold in both exercises in the run up to the
World Championships, where they garnered two Gold and one Silver medal.
